§ 18. Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is yet in a position to indicate when he proposes to tour the North-East of Scotland, including the towns of Fraserburgh and Peterhead, to study the serious situation in the fishing industry.
§ Mr. YoungerI have no visit specifically arranged but, as I have already indicated, I intend to visit a number of ports in the North-East as soon as my other commitments allow. Meantime, I am closely in touch with the situation and am urgently considering how the fishing industry's present difficulties might be eased.
