§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe net change in the number of smallholdings between 89W March 1978 and March 1979—the latest period for which figures are available—was a reduction of three, from 1,006 to 1,003. I understand that the change resulted from amalgamations, not from sales. Figures for earlier years are in the annual report to Parliament on smallholdings, copies of which are in the Library.
