HC Deb 03 March 1980 vol 980 cc47-8W
37. Mr. Trippier

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what steps have been taken as a result of the Council of Ministers decision not to impose countervailing duties against United States of America man-made fibre products; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Nott

No proposal for a countervailing duty on United States man-made fibre products has been put to the Council of Ministers, and no such decision has been taken. I would refer my hon. Friend to the statement I made on 18 February.
