HC Deb 03 March 1980 vol 980 c47W
35. Mr Thornton

asked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he will investigate the extent to which savings could be made as a result of setting up a separate register of names of dormant companies.

Mr. Eyre

The rules to be observed by dormant companies are under review, in the light of observations on the consultative document "Company Accounting and Disclosure"—Cmnd. 7654. Setting up a separate register would not be helpful or feasible.
