HC Deb 24 June 1980 vol 987 cc132-3W
Miss Wright

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the basis on which cuts in Housing Corporation finance have been passed on to the various regions; and what regard has been paid to the record of individual housing associations in rehabilitation and in providing for special needs.

Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg

The revised resources available to the Housing Corporation have been allocated regionally on a pro rata basis, with minor exceptions to reflect special circumstances in the South-East and North-West. In the allocation of resources to individual associations regard is had both to the general record of the association as revealed by monitoring and to the extent to which the association's work lies in priority categories: inner city rehabilitation in designated areas; specialist housing for the elderly; and hostels.
