HC Deb 24 June 1980 vol 987 c133W
Mr. Shersby

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what proposals he has received from the London borough of Hillingdon concerning revised subsidy proposals for the Hinkley Close, Harefield, expandible home scheme; when he expects to be able to take a decision on this matter; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg

The London borough of Hillingdon has asked the Department for informal advice on the acceptability of the costs of a proposal for the extension of seven dwellings on its Church Hill estate at Harefield. The Department has told the council that it would be prepared to make subsidy available on the costs of the extensions as though the scheme had originally been designed to the specification as now proposed, up-dating the figures as appropriate. Costs incurred above the subsidisable amount would be considered for the purposes of loan sanction in due course.
