HC Deb 19 June 1980 vol 986 cc661-2W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether the 30 Massey tractors and 35 tipping lorries and chain saws and other machinery and vehicles auctioned by the Ballynahinch and commercial auction by order of the Department of the Environment on 15 March last, were offered to other Departments or public authorities before being scheduled for disposal ; and, if not, whether this will be done in future.

Mr. Goodhart

No. They were not considered to have a sufficient economic life left. The future manner of disposal will depend on the type and condition of the property and the circumstances of its disposal.
