§ Mr. Geoffrey FinsbergCircular 59/78, "Adaptations of Housing for People who are Physically Handicapped", issued jointly by this Department, the Department of Health and Social Security and the Welsh Office, gives advice to local authorities about adaptations to housing for disabled people.
A revised code of practice, BS 5810: 1979, on access for the disabled to buildings, was recently published by the British Standards Institution.
