§ Dr. Roger Thomasasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will consider allowing local organisations that have been set up to meet the funding of a particular medical emergency to have their money deposited temporarily in the bank not subject to tax liability, as if included under section 36 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1970.
§ Mr. Peter ReesWhether such organisations are exempt from income tax depends on the particular circumstances; if the hon. Member would care to write to me I will look into the matter.
