HL Deb 11 June 1980 vol 410 c557WA
Lord AVEBURY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What information has been sought by the Working Group of Five, established by the United Nations Human Rights Commission to "examine the question of and cases of enforced or involuntary disappearances of persons", from the Government of the Argentine, and what replies, if any, have been received.

Lord CARRINGTON

The Working group, which, according to the final text of the resolution, has been set up "to examine questions relevant to enforced or involuntary disappearances of persons", is due to hold its first meeting this month. It has so far made no requests to Governments for information.
