§ Mr. John MooreMy Department's expenditure on research and development into alternative sources of energy has been increasing substantially year by year. In 1979–80, expenditure by my Depart-42W ment on alternative source programmes approached £7 million. Expenditure in this financial year is expected to be about £11 million.
