HC Deb 02 June 1980 vol 985 c513W
Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what has been the cost of the inquiry into allegations of corruption in public life in Lancashire.

Mr. Brittan

I understand from the Chief Constable of Lancashire that the additional cost to public funds of the inquiry led by Mr. Imbert, now Chief Constable of Thames Valley police, was of the order of £140,000.
