§ Mr. RifkindThe major trunk roadworks and bypasses in the present four-year programme are listed in the appendix to the document "Roads in Scotland 1980" placed in the Library of the House on 5 June. I am writing to the hon. Member with details of the estimated costs for each scheme. These must be regarded as very provisional, particularly for the later years of the trunk road programme, since the route and the design of many schemes have still to be established.
