§ The Attorney-GeneralThe members of the panel are Sir Robert Bellinger, Sir Martin Flett, General Sir John Hackett, Lady Shepherd, Mr. E. L. Sykes and Sir James Waddell.
Lay members must be willing to undertake their duties for a minimum of three years and be able conveniently to attend tribunal hearings and meetings of the professional conduct committee in London. There is no formal procedure for nomination. From those who have applied or have been recommended to him, the Lord Chancellor nominates as members of the panel such persons as he considers best fitted to serve.
