Why they have abandoned the practice of publishing along with their road traffic forecasts the substantiating evi- 503WA dente which provides the details of the data and calibration methods used to produce the forecasts.
§ Lord MOWBRAY and STOURTONIn accordance with previous practice, details of the data and calibration methods used to produce the latest national road traffic forecasts will be published within the next few months to supplement the material in the recent memorandum on the forecasts and the advice by the Standing Advisory Committee on Trunk Road Assessment, which was published at the same time. So far as individual schemes are concerned, we are continuing the policy of making more information on the methods used to forecast local traffic available before public inquiries.
