§ Mr. David MitchellIn the year ended 31 March 1980, offers made to British textiles, clothing and footwear firms under sections 7 and 8 of the Industry Act 1972 amounted to £13.7 million. In addition, £12.7 million was paid by way of regional development grants, and reimbursements of £9.1 million were approved under the temporary short time working compensation scheme.
