HC Deb 07 July 1980 vol 988 cc34-5W
Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Wales, for the latest available 12-month period, what is the total number of ancillary staff employed in each area health authority; and what were the figures in each year since reorganisation.

Mr. Wyn Roberts

The information is as follows:

of the ambulance service work load is devoted to the emergency sector.

Mr. Wyn Roberts

Information on vacancies in the ambulance service is not held centrally. Closures in the last three years have been two in Dyfed, two in Gwynedd and two in Mid-Glamorgan. Available figures on emergency cases are published annually in Health and Personal Social Services Statistics for Wales, copies of which are in the Library of the House.
