§ Mr. MayhewI have asked the chairman of the Health and Safety Commission to reduce the 1979–80 level of staff-related expenditure by 6 per cent. in the three years to 1982–83. Staffing resources are at present under review, but as the review has not yet been completed, it is too early to indicate what level of cut will be applied to the West Midlands area.
