§ Mr. Jim LesterAt 10 April, the latest date for which an age analysis of the unemployed is available, there were 29,659 people who had been registered as unemployed for over 13 weeks in the Birmingham travel-to-work area. Of these, 2,132 (7.2 per cent.) were under 467W 19 years of age and 6,932 (23.4 per cent.) were aged 19 to 24 years.
