asked the Secretary of State for Employment what the current rate of unemployment is in the Preston travel-to-work area; and how this compares with the same time in 1978.

At 10 January 1930 the provisional unemployment rate in the Preston travel-to-work area was 5.5 per cent. compared with 5.5 per cent. in January 1978.
