asked the Prime Minister if she will state, pursuant to her answer, Official Report, 31 January, column 1556, what recent endeavours she has made to stand four square behind the non-nuclear proliferation agreement.

§ The Prime Minister
As 1 explained to the hon. Member in my reply of 8 February, the United Kingdom, as a depositary power, has worked hard to encourage wider adherence to the Non Proliferation Treaty. We shall continue to do so. We are also working hard for a successful outcome to the second NPT Review Conference to be held in August 1980.
