§ Mr. YoungerThe sums paid for the years in question to the eight Scottish agricultural research institutes funded by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for Scotland and for the research and development work carried out at the three Scottish agricultural colleges and at the Department's Agricultural Scientific Services Station are as shown in the following table. As the colleges and the Department's Scientific Services Station carry out work other than research and development, these figures are approximate.
