asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he has any proposals to redefine the position of children of United Kingdom subjects employed by the EEC Commis- sion and similar international institutions who are at present classified as overseas students when attending United Kingdom universities; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. and learned Friend is currently considering whether policy on overseas students can be modified in the case of students from other EEC countries. He has no immediate plans to reconsider the position of children of United Kingdom subjects employed by international institutions generally.
