§ Mr. Alexanderasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food by how much, after payment of the increases during 1980 in fuel costs, water rates and wages, the 1½p increase in a pint of milk recently announced will benefit a dairy farmer with a typical 100 cows on a typical 80 hectare farm employing one farmwoker in 1981.
§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe precise extent to which a dairy farmer in these particular circumstances will benefit during 1981 from the 1½p per pint increase in the retail price of milk which I announced on 12 December will depend upon a number of factors which cannot accurately he assessed at this stage. However, dairy farmers generally will receive half of the additional revenue resulting from the price increase during this marketing year.
