HC Deb 19 December 1980 vol 996 cc406-7W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Minister of Transport if there are any special factors to explain why the ratio of night to day traffic on the A45 between Weedon and the M1 is only one-seventh of the national average; and if he wishes to revise any of the figures given to the hon. Member for Northampton, North, in previous answers.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

The information I gave to my hon. Friend on 11 December about the ratio of day movements to night movements on class A roads is an average for both urban roads, some of which are heavily trafficked and rural roads, some of which are lightly trafficked. I have no reason to revise any of the figures I have given my hon. Friend in previous answers.
