§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsOur latest estimate is that manufacturing projects for which selective financial assistance has been accepted or which will otherwise be undertaken in Government financed factories will give rise to some 2,300 jobs over the next three of four years in Mid-Glamorgan. The difference between this figure and the earlier estimate of 4,700 is in large part accounted for by recruitment totalling about 1,750. Detailed information on individual projects cannot be given, for reasons of commercial confidentiality, but most of the companies mentioned in my answer of 18 April are expected to provide further employment.—[Vol. 982,c. 744–5.]
