§ Mr. Neil MartenI have decided with regret that it will not be possible to meet the British subscription to ICCROM, amounting to 1 per cent. of the annual assessed contribution to UNESCO, from the reduced aid programme beyond 1981. This means that Britain will have to leave ICCROM at the end of 1981. Accordingly, notice of withdrawal will be given to the director-general of UNESCO by 31 December 1980.
