Mr. Michael Brown

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many representations he has received from the hierarchy and Synod of the Church of England about aspects of the policy of his Department which Anglicans find objectionable.

Separate statistics on representations from Anglican clergy are not readily available, but a number have Been received in recent weeks regarding public expenditure provision for housing associations. I am not aware of any recent representations from the General Synod.
