§ Mr. Patrick JenkinThe House of Lords this week decided that the guidance issued by the Department was good in law and allowed its appeal against the decision given by the Court of Appeal in the case brought by the Royal College of Nursing. I am, therefore, informing health authority medical and nursing officers, and those 515W concerned in the private sector, that the advice given in circular CMO/CNO(80)2 (which was suspended following the ruling of the Court of Appeal) is reinstated.
