asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what action he has taken as a result of the Northfield report.

Mr. Peter Walker

Many of the recommendations made by the Northfield committee of inquiry into the acquisition and occupancy of agricultural land were addressed to the farming industry, to which I have commended them. Action on other proposals has been and will continue to be taken as necessary in the light of the Government's overall objectives.
