§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is his estimate of the increase in the labour force in Scotland over the next five years.
§ Mr. Alexander FletcherThe most recent projections of the Scottish civilian labour force, published in theDepartment of Employment Gazette for September 1978, indicate an increase of some 16,000 per annum between 1981 and 1986.
The Department of Employment is currently revising the projections, and it seems likely that they will he revised downwards.
