asked the Attorney-General how many people were temporarily seconded to his Department and the Lord Chancellor's Department from outside occupations in each of the last 10 years; and from what types of employment they came.

The Solicitor-General

To my Department, none. To the Lord Chancellor's Department, three: one in 1970, one in 1971 and one in 1978. Two came from local authority employment and one from a university.
