§ Dr. BoysonIt is for local education authorities to decide on the number of newly-qualified teachers they can employ, in the light of the rate of wastage from and re-entry to teaching in their areas. Where newly-qualified teachers are unable to find teaching posts, my right hon. and learned Friend trusts that they will106W put their qualifications to good use in the wider employment market.
