HC Deb 23 April 1980 vol 983 cc201-2W
Mr. Peter Robinson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the statutory authority which enables him, when acting in the discharge of his functions relating to the treatment of convicted prisoners in Northern Ireland, to discriminate on political grounds between prisoners.

Mr. Alison

I am not aware of discrimination in the treatment of prisoners in Northern Ireland on political grounds. Perhaps the hon. Gentleman would care to let me know what he has in mind.
