§ Mr. Jim LesterThe Government support the MSC's efforts to increase the economic relevance and cost effectiveness of the TOPS scheme, which trained an estimated 40,000 unemployed people last year. My right hon. Friend is awaiting the report of MSC's review body set up to consider the working of the Employment and Training Act, so far as it relates to training for employment. The report is expected in July.
