§ Mr. Marksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list his Department's allocation of funds for rescue archaeology by regions and counties for 1979–80 and 1980–81.
§ Mr. MonroThe distribution of that part of the Department's rescue archaeology expenditure which was directed to archaeological units in 1979–80 is listed below. Because some archaeological units serve areas in more than a single region the information is given by counties or groups of counties. Allocations for 1980–81 have not yet been settled; I shall send details to the hon. Member as soon as they are available.
