Member for Huyton (Sir H. Wilson) and Mr. Brezhnev; and what decisions were taken at those meetings.
§ Mr. BlakerMy right hon. and noble Friend discussed Rhodesia with the Soviet Foreign Minister at their meeting in New York in September 1979. Discussions between senior officials have been held 39W from time to time. No decisions were taken.
§ Mr. Wallasked the Lord Privy Seal on what occasions representatives of the Government or members of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office have met Mr. Solodovnikov or other Soviet leaders in Central Africa; and what decisions were taken at these meetings.
§ Mr. BlakerThe British High Commissioner at Lusaka has met the Soviet Ambassador Mr. Solodovnikov on a number of occasions. There will also have been some contact between the British and Soviet delegations at the Zimbabwe independence celebrations. No decisions were taken at any of these meetings.
