§ Mr. Norman LamontInformation on average household expenditure on various120W items is published annually in the "Family Expenditure Survey" report by the Department of Employment. The latest report relates to 1978 and shows that the average domestic expenditure on fuel, light and power accounted for 5.9 per cent. of the total average household expenditure in the United Kingdom. The corresponding figure for 1973 was 5.5 per cent.
