§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will reconsider his decision to remove development status from the Aberdeen area in view of the dependence of the area upon the diminishing oil construction programme.
§ Mr. David MitchellMy right hon. Friend will be conducting a special review of those development areas which are due to become non-assisted areas from 1 August 1982. These include the employment office areas of Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Banff. I am also prepared to consider the appropriate assisted area gradings of any individual travel-to-work area if there are significant changes in its relative circumstances.
