Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is his estimate of the opening date of the new Shotton, Clwyd, school for the handicapped, the numbers of pupils to be catered for, the cost of the school, and the numbers of teachers likely to be employed.

Mr. Michael Roberts

The new school for the handicapped at Shotton, Clwyd, is expected to open in September 1979 and will provide 60 places. The estimated cost is £156,000 and a total of 14 teaching and auxiliary staff are likely to be employed.
