§ Mr. Patrick JenkinHealth and local authorities are developing services in accordance with broad guidance aimed at 327W care in the community as far as possible, and giving priority to the so-called "Cinderella" services as far as pressures on resources allow. So far as necessary central action is concerned, I shall in particular continue consultations on the Mental Health Act and on the report of the committee of inquiry into mental handicap nursing and care—the Jay report.
