§ Mr. OrmeThe payment of unemployment benefit is not subject to a means test. Where all the conditions for receiving benefit are met, the rate payable depends on the claimant's contribution record in the relevant tax year which in most cases is the last complete tax year before the calendar year in which the claim to benefit is made.
