HC Deb 23 March 1979 vol 964 c178W
Mr. Shersby

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the proportion of people having decayed, missing and filled teeth now as compared with 25 years ago.

Mr. Denkins

I regret that the information is not available.

A survey of adult dental health in England and Wales was carried out in 1968 by the Government social survey and there was a similar survey in 1978, the report on which is expected to be published early next year. In both of these surveys information was recorded about decayed, missing and filled teeth.

Mr. Shersby

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the proportion of people of 50 years of age having false teeth now as compared with 25 years ago.

Mr. Deakins

I regret that the information is not available.
