§ Mr. Budgenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how much (a) the average weekly rebated council rent would increase and (b) the average unrebated 417W council rent would increase for every £10 million reduction in public housing subsidies.
§ Mr. FreesonIt is estimated that for England the increase would be 5p a week on the average unrebated rent or 4p a week on the average rebated rent, if there were no increase in rate fund contributions to offset the reduction of subsidy.
