§ Mr. Harry EwingThe procurator fiscal service is a matter for my right hon. and learned Friend, the Lord Advocate, and he informs me that, in 1977–78, the cost of the service was £4,411,000. The cost of criminal legal aid in the same period was £4,022,225.
