asked the Secretary of State for Trade what action he intends to take about his Department's report on the Peachey Property Corporation Ltd.

In the light of the inspectors' report into earlier events in that company, I have concluded that it would be desirable further to strengthen the law on financial transactions between companies and their directors. Appropriate amendments will be tabled to the Companies Bill.
