Mr. Jim Callaghanasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will announce the grant to the Sports Council for 1979–80 and give the percentage increase over the 1978–79 base figure.
§ Mr. Denis HowellI have told the Sports Council that subject to Parliamentary approval its grant in aid in 1979–80 will be £15.4 million, an increase over the previous year of 26 per cent.
