HC Deb 07 March 1979 vol 963 c708W
Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of the industrial action by the clerks of court, if summonses for action are being signatured in the Court of Session; and if writs for civil actions in the sheriff courts are being issued and started.

Mr. Harry Ewing

The Deputy Keeper of the Signet has made arrangements for summonses to be signeted in the Court of Session where the business involved is considered to be of an urgent nature. In most sheriff courts writs for civil actions are not being issued but in others applications are being handled as required.
