§ Mr. Bradleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he is taking to explore the possibilities of alternative uses for historic buildings as suggested by him on 28 November 1978.
§ Mr. ShoreThe Lord Montagu is to chair a small committee which will consider how to encourage new uses for buildings of historic or architectural interest. The secretariat of this committee654W will be provided by the British Tourist Authority, and it will take both written and oral evidence. The first meeting will be on 14 March.
