§ Mr. Denis HowellThe establishment of 64 centres of sporting excellence within the first two years of the scheme's inception represents in my opinion reasonable progress.
During the current financial year the Sports Council has allocated £120,000 to assist in the development of these centres, and I am confident that similar financial arrangements will be made again in the next financial year to carry this work forward.
